Visual Effects Compositor.
From an early age I was inspired by films like Blade Runner and Silent Running. I always had a passion for film and its processes which ultimately led me towards a career in visual effects.
Now with over 20 years in industry, I have had the pleasure of contributing to a wide range of high-profile projects across film, television, and animation. My career has spanned both boutique studios and larger VFX houses, allowing me to accumulate a variety of skills as well as providing on set supervision which has given me a broader knowledge of the visual effects process. I have worked on key shots for many films as well as develop tools for other artists to use during productions that have helped facilitate a smoother production process including particle simulation toolsets, keying templates and custom gizmos. I have a strong understanding of production pipelines and workflows as well as being able to adapt and stay up to date with emerging AI technologies.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to detail and quality, a focus I carry into every project I undertake and as a visual effects Mentor for Aardman Animations in Bristol I enjoy being able to guide junior colleagues in their career development.
Accolades
Wallace and Gromit - Vengeance Most Foul was the winner of two Bafta awards and nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.
Early Man was the winner of the British Independent Film Award in the Best Effects category
Happy received an RTS award for Visual Effects.
Shaun the Sheep - series 2 won an International Emmy, was a Children's Bafta winner and also won awards for both the Children's Choice and Best Children's Series at the British Animation Awards.
Wallace and Gromit's - A Matter of Loaf and Death went on to win the BAFTA for Best Animated Short Film and was nominated for an Academy Award for best Animated Short Film.
